I recently read a two page paper that claimed that a smallish space station with a large window pointed towards the Sun and rotated could supply air movement, thermal characteristics, and water movements necessary for a nice habitat. How about cutting off the end of an external tank, putting in a window, rotating it at 1 rpm, fixing up the interior and living in it? Sound like a good place to retire (you won't need your cane with that low gravity)?
