[net.space] Satellite

blanchard@beta.DEC (08/20/84)

Someone commented that around midnight one evening he spotted what
appeared to be a star that was traveling across the sky. It was in reality
a satellite. On just about any clear evening one can observe satellites in
there travel across the sky. In a rough estimate I sould say that on a
good evening one can observe as many as six an hour. Some are very dim
and hard to follow and others stand out, such as when Skylab was on its way
down. Good Hunting.
