[net.music] Kate Bush on Canadian TV/Radio

The Canadian equivalent of MTV is MuchMusic, which was put out by the
CityTV people. MM is available on cable only , but CityTV still has a number
of other music/video shows, and one of them is "The New Music".
They focus mainly on new or non-Top40 acts. Last night they have a 5-minute
interview of Kate Bush (recorded in England this March) and a bit from the
"Running up that hill" video. The host said that the _Hounds_of_Love_ record
represents "a return to the sweet voice for which Kate Bush is most admired.
To many people _The Dreaming_ has been inaccessible, the vocals too harsh."
The content of the interview contains nothing revealing about the new album.
However, if anyone out there is interested I can do my best to transcribe the
thing and send it out.

The rock/top40 station CHUM-FM played "Running up that hill" last night
after their "Top 12 at 12" (midnight). I wonder if this song is really
gonna make top40; does that mean that our venerable KB has at last bow her
head to commercialism ?!? Let's hope not!!

   "Be running that road
    Be running that hill
    With no promise ...."
