From: Ron Tencati <TENCATI@JPL-VLSI.ARPA> I recently purchased a Celestron C-11 telescope. I would like to do some astrophotography. I used Poloroids slide film (ASA 40) to take some rather nice shots of the moon. I would like to take some pictures of the planets. Has anyone out there been through this before? Can someone give me some hints as to what is the best speed film to use for the best results. I would also like to have input from anyone regarding what exposure times are the best for the different planets. I know it depends what focal length I am shooting with. I'm not sure. I would like to do eyepiece projection using the celestron tele-extender and an 18mm and 9mm eyepiece. Has anyone used FUJI's HR1600 film? How does it perform? Thanks in advance for any information.
