The issue of a "Cooling Down" period before the purchase of a handgun is not legitament in light of the fact that what it really means is: The Government is going to enforce this FOR YOUR OWN GOOD becuase it, in it's supposed all powerfull Omniscience(SP?), knows what is best for you. The only answer to that is bullshit. The government is the last thing on earth that should be granted any responsibility, it has taken none in the past. It can't, it is not a living thing. People, on the other hand, are living things. They bear the responsibility for thier actions, whether in the heat of passion or not. That is the issue. I am against any restriction on the owning of ANY kind of property granted you are not, nor have been convicted of a criminal act. David T. McKee
