Our aim is to get a display with high resolution and high drawing speed to be used with PC-ARC/INFO. The possible alternatives in our price range seem to be IBM 8514 and NEC 4D with appropriate graphics cards (8514/A and NEC's "graphics engine"). PC-ARC/INFO documentation lists 8514A in "Category II" which means that the device is known to be in use at a PC-ARC/INFO user site. Our GSS*CGI device driver package version is 2.11 (1987). It doesn't have drivers for these two displays. I would be grateful to get PC-ARC/INFO user experiences about these or possible other high-resolution (at least 800 x 600) displays. We have been using a very nice (large and fast) display system developed by Matrox of Canada. This was running for a while using EGA emulation but we have acquired from Matrox a GSI driver which permits full operation. Duane Marble Ohio State University
