[comp.sys.concurrent] MatLab for MassComp computers

tom@uunet.uu.net (Tom Rossby) (02/12/90)

As a research and teaching group we have found MatLab to be an
extremely effective tool in our work. MatLab, from the Mathworks
in S. Natick, Mass, is an integrated programming language for function
analysis, matrix operations, signal processing, and graphic display.
It is available on PCs, Macs, and some larger systems. The Mathworks
ports MatLab to other systems as the demand for it becomes evident.
Its ease of use is truly remarkable. There are user bulletin boards
indicating widespread use. If this interests you at all, send the
MathWorks a message (and a copy to me, if you don't mind) that you
would like to see it compiled for MassComp computers as well. Their
address is: The MathWorks, Inc. 21 Eliot St., South Natick, MA 01760.
Tel: 508-653-1415. E-mail: na.mathworks@na-net.stanford.edu.
Regards, Tom Rossby, Graduate School of Oceanography, University of
Rhode Island, Kingston, RI 02881.
