VAX sites that do not have a direct connection to the INTERNET can send mail via a "gateway" on BITNET. In order to do this you will need software to generate the correct "address" for your message. At our site we use a free package called GMAIL. Other sites use a low-cost package called PMDF. If anyone needs more info about these packages drop a line on INFO-GCG and I will respond.
