I know it is not your intent but please be cautious in sending a
message that intervention against AIDS is necessary BECAUSE it may
spread to the heterosexual population via men who have sex with
other men. AIDS does have other modes of transportation and to
focus only on homosexuality lends itself to unreasonable "blaming".
Sometime in the next year, it is expected that less than half of the
new cases will be related to homosexuality. If your topic is the
transmission of AIDS then you may want to broaden your points.
You may want to also make the distinction that has been reflected on
this bb lately between gay and homosexuality.
