[bit.listserv.lawsch-l] TA/RA in law school

douglas@MS.UKY.EDU (John Douglas Turner) (02/09/90)

I am a TA (teaching assistant) in computer science and was thinking
of going to law school, but I do not have money saved for such a thing.

Is there any place that has such things as TA/RA positions for law students?

And could I work 15 hours a week while taking classes full time?

We don't have any TAs or RAs here at IU in Indianapolis. I would think
you could get away with working 15 hours a week if you went part time
during your first year; the first year takes a HELL of a lot of time
and I'm glad I didn't work while going full time. You might also want
to check with the schools you're interested in--some appear to have
work policies that limit the number of hours you can work in a week.
