I'm in love with the sound for that very reason ... the response. I've played
every "piano" I could lay my hands on (save the Kuzweil rack-mount stuff ... I
have played a home-version of the Kurzweil and was not impressed) and nothing
feels quite like the RD. The sounds, most of them, are very usable. Pianos
One and Two sound like banjos in the middle, but Piano Three is right on,
except in the very high ranges. The Clav really kicks, and the touch is near
perfect. The harpsichord sounds good, though I never use it. Vibes are great.
Epiano 1 is my favourite, the only epiano sound that could come close to
replacing my two-tons of Rhodes. All in all, a good unit. If I find a used
MKS-20 I'll buy it on principle.

I've got tens of piano samples for my S950, but I've found that each sample
only has one range in which it is usable. So I use it sparsely, when I only
want a piano bass line, or a simple comp part. To sit and play as if I was
sitting at a piano makes my teeth hurt. Perhaps if I had some editing software
to mess about with the samples I could come up with something more usable.
(Just need more money, really ...) ... but a piano that starts looping like a
car starting on a cold morning does not turn my crank --

enough on that ...
