Hello, I just bought a HRS-401 (PC Music Maker/MPU-401 compatible) for my PC. It is a half size internal card with 1 midi-in, 1 midi-out, and a phono jack. The question is that the manual does not mention anything about the misterious phono jack. I assumed that it was a metronom(spell???) output, so I connected it to an amplifier. Yes, it was a metronom output. However, it also produced a lot of static noise, and the metronom sound was horrible. The sequencing software that comes with the card uses internal PC speaker or a midi channel to generate the metronom sound and does not seem to make use of that jack. Does anyone have any idea what's going on? Any comments/explanation will be appreciated. P.S. By the way, Does any one know whether HRS-3000 (which seems to be an external version of HRS-401) is an MPU-401 compatible? J.

THIS WOULD SEEM TO BE A MIDI SYNC SIGNAL?
