Indeed New York used to be known as New Amsterdam.  And don't you wish
it still was?  Then you would have Frankie and Liza Minelli singing
"New Amsterdam New Amsterdam".   It would have improved the song 1000%.

Dutch speaking part of Belguim?  Oh yes, I seem to remember once they
declared Flemish and Dutch to be the same language.   But don't the
some of the Dutch speaker Frier (or something like that)?
