Yes, that just came out on video. Great film. BTW, all the riots they predicted it would cause never happened. But really, the reason it wigged out a lot of people stemmed from the fact it used a form rarely seen in American films: There were no absolute heros or absolute villians; everyone had their reasons. Plus, a la Bergman and some of the French film , after the drama had played out, there was no resolution. So not only did Spike make a good film on race relations in the U.S., he also might have raised the level of American filmaking one or two notches. Jeff Beer
