Whatever happened to the band called MSG? I believe the guitarist was the brother of one of the Scorpion guitarists. I'm bad at names in case you haven't already figured that out. Wait a minute....Shenke? Close? Jim

The guitarist of MSG is Micheal Schenker. The band is the Micheal Schenker group, or was for most of it's existance dave r1se@sdsumus.bitnet "...and this guy comes up to me his face red like a rose on a thornbush like all the colors of a royal flush and he's peeling off those dollar bills and slapping them down..."

Yeah, the one-time Michael Schenker (sp?) Group. The last solid album he put out had him smashing the back window of a Mercedes with his Flying V on the cover; I forget the name. He took a break of a couple of years, got a permanent singer in the form of Robin McCauley, and renamed the band to the McCauley-Schenker Group. Notice the same initials, but higher billing for the singer. Two albums have been put out under that name, one very recently (like in the last couple of months). Both are very watery commercial rock, which upsets me since Michael has got too much talent to be in that field. But then money makes the business, I suppose. I also forgot to mention that he got another guitarist in the band, Mitch Perry of Talas fame. The two styles are completely different, and I have to say I much prefer Michael's approach to the instrument. By-tor

MSG is still around. They just had an album out I believe. I saw those clowns when they toured with Rush. The gitmo player is named Michael Schenker (whaterver) right? When they toured with Rush, they practically got booed of the stage. The gitmo player was pissed. He threw his gitmo at a roadie. - Drummer -
