GRUTZ@UNTVAX.BITNET (Peart through the ages.. :)) (02/06/90)
You'll have to admit, Peart does show techincal capability in his playing. He has influenced me heavily in his use of musicality in his playing... I have taken much of what he has done and applied it to my every-day drumming. But, he's not the only one I listen to.... Infact, I don't think I have any of the RUSH CD's yet.. Of course, i don't have the MONEY to go out and buy them all. One drummer everyone never hears about is Chad Wackerman. Last I heard, he was still drumming for Frank Zappa. Which brings up another question.. Has anyone heard anything about Zappa putting out something new lately? Last one I have (besides the "You can't do that on stage anymore") was the live recording: _Broadway The Hard Way_ .. is he going to be Synclaving around now ? (ok, that makes 3 drummers... enough for a listserv yet?? *grin*) grutz

Chad Wackerman is on Ed Mann's new album. Pretty hip. It has the horn
players from Zappa's band in it. I don't think Frank is going to do much of
anything for a while. I gathered that from a People interview with him.
Mr Beer, you might be interested in Ed Mann's album. Kinda jazzy.
