The first time that i heard a song called 'Simple Man' it was done by lynard skynard... Is this the same song? Skynard did quite a job of it.The lyrics tell of a mother speaking words of wisdom to her son, telling him: Son, be a simple kind of man. Be somthing you'll know and understand. What is this about hank? Derlect

Derlect, In a previous posting I said that _Simple Man_ by the Charlie Daniels Band, was a "borrowed sound of _A Country Boy Can Survive_ by Hank Williams Jr. Allow me to clarify myself. What I should have said was that the 2 songs sound simular. Sorry about that. Wow, I feel better now!! The Lenord Skynard tune _Simple Man_ isn't the same one as CDB's. With some help of some people I can't think of right now, Charlie Daniels wrote his own version of _Simple Man_. Steve
