I believe they played on Sentimental Hygiene.. I completely forgot about that, I'll have to check the label and see if they're mentioned. I have a 45 at hom e that has Stipe-less R.E.M. w/Warren Zevon and I think a member of Time Toy (a n Athens band) whose name I forget but I can picture his image from the picture on the 45, called the Hindu Love Gods. They do "Narrator" and "Gonna Have a G ood Time." It's really cool, check it out if you see it sometime... I don't t hink it's too rare, but I'm not sure. Mike

I read somewhere that the guys from R.E.M. played on a Warren Zevon album, does anyone happen to know what album that is? Is it any good? Rando

As a matter of fact, all of R.E.M. are on the album Sentimental Hygiene. Since we were discussing it, I got the tape and listened to it last night.. I could n't really tell by listening, but looking at the liner notes, Buck, Mills, and Berry play on most of the songs, except for maybe one or two, with Stipe doing harmony on "Bad Karma." Mike

I know that Peter Buck played on Warren's now-next-most-recent album, *Sentimental Hygiene*, a couple of years back... don't think that any other REM-folk were involved, though. From what I heard of the album, it wasn't bad... not sure how the new one compares, though. I do remember that "Reconsider Me" was a great song. -- Mark

REM played on "Sentimental Hygiene", the album just before his current album. Buck, Berry and Mills play on most of the songs, Stipe sings backup on one song. I really like the album, it has a good guitar sound to it, because they helped write some of the songs. Dylan plays harmonica and Don Henley also sings harmony on a couple. The album is a cut-out now so you could probably find it cheap somewhere. closet ("goin' to Detox mansion up on rehab farm") hacker
