What a great weekend! I saw the MSU percussion ensemble perform this weekend,
really hot!! There were two solo performances that were simply amazing, Rich
Viano (DCI's 1st place snare soloist) played snare solo, and J. J. Pimtimo (?)
(DCI's 1st place quads soloist) played a solo on quads, I understand why both
of the guys won 1st at DCI!!
To anyone in the Lexington KY, Cincinnati OH, or Louisville KY area, there will
be a Day of Percussion held at the University of Kentucky on Saturday Feb.24.
Admission is $5.00, there will be some great ensembles playing during the day
at the Center for the Performing Arts, an expert in african percussion will be
giving a workshop and performing (I forgot the guy's name, but he is the
percussion instructor at WVU). If anyone needs directions, send me some mail.
