Here are several interesting items from the News Briefs section of the Nov/Dec issue of L5 News : * IRAS detected a `miniplanet' inside the orbit of Mercury, possibly the remnant of a comet nucleus. * Pioneer 10 has switched from Sol to Sirius for one of its reference points since the Sun is now out of its range. * The NASA staff size is at its lowest number in the last 20 years. * Requests for observing time on the Space Telescope (to be launched late next year) have already filled the available hours 15 times over.
