While discouraging Corporate Accounts, at the University of North Florida we will accept a formal blanket purchase order from corporate entities. The purchase order must include the names of the individuals who can be issued cards. A corporate record, including their purchase order number in the header, is added to NOTIS. The cards are all issued off the same record. When overdue notices and bills are received by the purchasing department of the corporation, there is usally mass confusion. We have *never* had a corporation ask for this privilege a second year. In this instance the privilege is extended for the time period indicated on the purchase order or one year, whichever is less. Our preferred method is to have corporations send us a letter (on letterhead) requesting that eligibility to apply for an individual library card be approved for the named employees. An application is completed by each individual, who is told that all charges are his/her personal responsibility; reimbursement by the corporation is his/her own problem. Each application is considered and approved separately; existing unpaid charges will block approval. All library cards are $25.00 per individual for one year, or until we receive formal notice from the corporation that he/she is no longer affiliated. All such accounts are tracked using the organization ID field and the last four digits of the social security number for uniqueness.
