At GW and the rest of our consortium we'll be bringing up NOTIS soon. We are now working on naming it and pr and b.i., etc. What other names have been used for the system other than LUIS? I know of BISON (Suny Buffalo) and LOLA (LSU), and MAGIC (Mich. StU). I'm gathering these to spur people's imaginations. You can send names to me--GY945c@GWUVM, rather than clutter the list. In NOTISes number 50, January, 1990 there is a list on page 14 (OPAC Names). At CMU we had a contest, campus-wide, to name the OPAC. We offered prizes for 1st and 2nd place entries. CENTRA was the winning entry. Have fun. If you have any questions, please feel free to call me at 6643.
