We are planning to migrate from VM/SP Rel 4 to VM/SP Rel 6 in the next few months. We are currently running Backup/CMS from VM Systems Group (previously from Boole and Babbage.) The VMSG folks claim that they are having lots of trouble with the code the got from B&B and will not support Release 6 in the near future. Their solution is to run the Backup/CMS machine under CMS 4 or 5. Two questions: 1. Is anyone out there running Backup/CMS on VM Release 6? If so how well (if at all) does it work under R6? (We love it under Rel 4.) 2. Has anyone migrated from Backup/CMS to any other backup package? If so, how did it go? How compatible were your archives?
