I am posting this query for someone else. Please reply to me (I've set the Reply-To accordingly.) The questions are: (1) How common is it to take copies of (non-copyrighted) materials when leaving a job? (2) Is there anything wrong with this? All (polite) comments welcome. Please reply quickly; this is somewhat urgent. Thanks. ---------------------------- Text of forwarded message --------------- HELP HELP HELP HELP HELP HELP We need comments and personal experience regarding: moving systems programmer's personal tools when changing jobs. A confrontation has occured between a company and a systems programmer when he changed jobs and took his own 'files' on tape. The files consisted of JCL, mods, sample proclibs, clists, etc. Files also consisted of PPOPTION describtions and sample IMS control information. All material was in the public domain, written by him, or licensed IBM libraries.
