LONDON, ENGLAND, 1990 FEB 03 (NB) -- Saracen Marketing has announced the availability of Fenix, its Wordstar workalike package for Unix, for the ICL DRS-6000 series of computers. Fenix claims to be first standalone word-processing package that runs under Unix System V release 4.0. Version 3.1 of Fenix, which supports the ICL DRS-6000 environment, has a number of major enhancements over earlier versions. These include the ability to save documents in standard Wordstar format. Fenix, which has a Wordstar-like interface and command structure, costs from UKP 595, dependent on hardware configuration. The package is available for the ICL DRS-300, 400 and 500 series, the IBM 6150, AT&T 3B1 and 2, NCR Tower series, Altos, and Motorola Delta systems. In addition, versions of the package are available for 80286 and 386-based machines running SCO Unix and Xenix operating systems.
