SURREY, BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA, 1990 FEB 1 (NB) -- UpDate
Publishing has introduced a package of clip art for PC
Paintbrush, and is planning a home business computing magazine.

Robert Allinson of UpDate told Newsbytes the Desk Art package
will be sold mainly in Canada, at least initially. It contains
clip art on more than 50 topics, scanned at 300 dots-per-inch. PC
Paintbrush Version 3.5 or later, PC Paintbrush Plus or
Publisher's Paintbrush is required to retrieve and manipulate the
images, which can be used with PC PageMaker, Ventura Publisher,
WordPerfect and other packages. The price is C$49.95.

UpDate also plans to launch a magazine for home-office computer
users, also called UpDate, in March. The monthly magazine will be
similar to the United States' Home Office Computing, Allinson
said. "Most of the mainstream computer magazines are aimed at the
so-called power users," he remarked, and offer little for those
using computers for home businesses or telecommuting. Initial
distribution will focus on Canada's four western provinces, he
added.

UpDate has previously published three books on personal computing
topics.
