(Trolleys) Edmonton is leasing 30 trolley buses to Toronto for three years, while Toronto's transit system buys replacements to update its aging fleet. Two Edmonton buses are already making their way around Toronto, and the reports say they're working just fine. (Campeau) The financially struggling Campeau empire has sold off its three-building Elveden Centre in downtown Calgary for an estimated 27-Million dollars. Campeau's two major American retailing divisions have filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy provisions to allow them time to restructure. (Session) The spring session of the Alberta legislature gets underway on March 8th. New environmental laws and more protection for consumer investments will be two issues on the agenda. (Senate) Alberta's intergovernmental affairs minister says Ottawa is offering no promises to appoint Stan Waters to the upper chamber. Last fall, Albertans elected Waters to fill their empty Senate seat. But the province has come up empty handed again this week.

(Housing) Social Services Minister John Oldring says he's thinking about pushing up the shelter allowance for people on social assistance. Low vacancy rates in Calgary and Edmonton have forced prices up... and Oldring says that makes it tough on people with low fixed income. (Ombudsman) Alberta's new Ombudsman is promising to take a low-key approach to dealing with public complaints. Harley Johnson... a 25-year veteran of the Calgary police force... was sworn-in at Ombudsman yesterday. (Pipeline) Two Calgary companies are co-operating on the proposed Alberta-California Pipeline Expansion Project. Alberta Natural Gas and Foothills Pipe Lines will help develop the western ``pre-build'' section of the system that'll deliver more Canadian gas to California. (Bandit) Police in Calgary are still searching for a man after a bizarre holdup in a Canada Trust on Wednesday. A man walked into the bank... said he had a gun... and demanded a loonie. The teller gave him a one-dollar coin, and then the man left.
