Valid 081500 - 091200Z

No severe thunderstorms forecast. Thunderstorms may approach severe
limits late this afternoon and evening to right of line from Texarkana, AR
Paris, TX..60 west Mcalester, OK..Tulsa, OK 20 north Joplin, MO..40 northeast
Springfield, MO..80 east-northeast Harrison, AR..Little Rock, AR..Texarkana, AR.

General thunderstorms are forecast right of a line from 30 southeast
Palacios, TX..Waco, TX..Sheppard AFB, TX..Enid, OK..Chanute, KS
Jefferson City, MO..Louisville, KY..Monteagle, TN..Montgomery, AL
Pensacola, FL. ALSO...to right of line from 70 southwest Tucson, AZ
Tucson, AZ..Truth or Consequences, NM..Carlsbad, NM..50 south Sanderson, TX.

Low level moisture is returning north-northeastward through eastern
Texas and louisiana and is expected to intersect southeastward moving
cold front in band from north-eastern Oklahoma to southwestern Missouri.
Warm 850 millibar temperatures suggest strong thermal contrast between
moist axis and drier air to west. This should aid low level warm
advection and instability on west side of axis. Thunderstorms likely to
develop along front by late afternoon with activity moving southeastward
with front. Some cells may approach severe limits with strong winds and
hail.

Valid February 081200 to 090000

A good short/wave coming into the Pacific Northwest early in the period
as well as additional weak impulses...will use onshore moist flow and warm
advection pattern to produce locally heavy snows in the Cascades of
Washington and Oregon and the northern Rockies of Idaho.
