I have been using the call PSetSendSelf to allow both a server and a
client to run on the same machine under Multifinder. I have
experienced some strange behavior when I start the server a second
time after I boot (and turn off the send self option). I am not
running two copies of the server, just restarting it after I told it
to quit.
The specific question I have is does NBP have a _problem_ registering
a name when send self is enabled?
More generally, if someone has some guidelines on using the send self
option, I would appreciate hearing about them.
Further, I have IM I - V, but do not have Inside AppleTalk. I am
planning on using ATP to run the client -- server interactions,
nothing fancy. Is Inside AppleTalk a must have, or do I even need to
look at it? So far, I don't feel I _need_ any more documentation,
other than some guidelines on PSetSendSelf.
