This is correct, man pages are a BSD 4.3 feature that are not currently part of AIX PS/2 or AIX/RT. However you will soon see enhancements that go well beyond current man page implementations. Man pages consume huge amounts of disk storage that most PS/2 users aren't willing to give up. Newer technologies will provide a solution to the problem. John Return Address...... John R. Yes, unfortunately someone decided somewhere that man pages are not important enough to provide them for AIX. However there are man-pages around within IBM and if you talk very friendly to you local support people the might be able to get them for you. But be careful, such stuff is usually marked 'for IBM internal use only', so in principle your IBM'er is not allowed to give you the stuff..... (So, to be good friend with the local IBM staff is sometimes very useful |) Regards Markus
