>From IBM Manual GC09-1204-01 'TCP/IP for Command Ref. Man.' on p. 2-1 about
'Format Used When Naming Files' under FTP:
'In multiple-file commands (Mget, Mdelete and Mput), the CMS command
Listfile is used to locate existing files'.
I want to send files with a file-extention of 2, e.g MGET *.*.A2
Thank's for such a fast filetransfer: it transfer's all my A-disk files.
Something wrong with me or the software ?

Maybe you have an older version of the manual. In my manual, this discussion is on page 2-2 (Third edition, Sept. 1988, Release 1.2). It states, earlier in the same paragraph, "the filemode is not accepted for a foreign file". The error message I get, under release 1.2.1, is: 501 Invalid file identifier; use 'name.type' I also tried it with our Spartacus TCP/IP, and it worked as expected. It might be reasonable to ask IBM to accept an optional filemode and just ignore the alpha character in it. Doug Nelson Michigan State University
