[list.ibmtcp-l] IBM TCP/IP for PS/2 rings only ones

Bernd Wagener <900002@DOLUNI1.bitnet> (02/22/90)

In addition to my first mail I figured out, that the TCP/IP for PC's
(not FAL) use at the first time the software-token-ring-address (4000xxxx...)
given in CONFIG.SYS and the second time it use the hardware-address (1000xxx..)
Looks very strange|

It's not strange, it's a bug. Effectively you can't use locally
managed token ring addresses with the IBM PC TCP/IP product.
