LARRY.H.BRADLEY@NRC.CA (02/27/90)
Help! We put up SMTP 1.2.2MX today, and have discovered something very funny. Our VM system is known as NRCVM01.NRC.CA to SMTP, and as NRCVM01 to RSCS. We have a "personal name" facility that lets mail be sent to users using their personal name. The mail gets sent to the DOMAIN NRC.CA (e.g. Larry.Bradley@nrc.ca). Under 1.2.1, this worked just fine ... it got sent to SMTP who forwarded it to VM. Now, however, under 1.2.2MX, it looks like SMTP is building up an SMTP RCTP TO line that looks like Larry.Bradley@NRCVM01 which will not work ... our system depends on seeing NRC.CA. Any ideas? (I am running with the option to FOldNoSourceRoute). *------------------------------------+----------------------* |Larry Bradley | LARRY@VM.NRC.CA | |Communications Manager | Larry.Bradley@NRC.CA | |National Research Council of Canada | LARRY@NRCVM01 | |Networks Branch | | |M60, Montreal Road | (613)993-0240 | |Ottawa, Canada K1A 0R6 | FAX:(613) 954-2561 | *------------------------------------+----------------------*
