Seven Enterprises sells a sway bar kit called the Ron Hopkinson suspension kit. The bars are 7/8" and 5/8" and include mounting hardware for the rear bar to put it on MGBs that didn't come with a rear bar. Has anyone had experience with this kit? Also, who is Ron Hopkinson? A Brit friend of mine seems to recall hearing about him as a sports car racer. My alternative sway bar kit would be an Addco from Victoria British. The prices are about $255 and $290, respectively, plus shipping. I'm going to order this Satyrday or Monday, so a prompt reply would be most appreciated. Direct email to me should go to sam@sco.COM or uunet!sco!sam, in addition to the mailing list. Thanx ever so much. -me

Why not order them fom J.C. Whitney. The talk has always been Whitney's no name bars are addcos!! They are VERY cheap and are the same stuff. I ordered a no-name header from them for my TR7 for $65 when I couldn't justify $120 for the "Monza" brand header from VB. ANyway I was suprised when I got the Monza 'Quicktrip' header from JC WHitney for the $65! :-) Chad McCubbins chad@en.ecn.purdue.edu 'The shape of things to come..... and go!'

Sam, I sure hope you haven't ordered your sway bars yet. If you are going to order ADDCO bars, why not order them directly from addco ? I don't have their number here, but I am sure you can find it in the back of many car mags. Why ? Addco only charges about $110 per bar. They will probably have the bar in your hands before VB figures out if they actually have any to sell you. Besides, Victoria British has got to be one of the worst collections of idiots in the business. Keep 'em revved up and rubber side down, Jeff ( ml21 @ andrew.cmu.edu )

ADDCO bars use cheap rubber bushings, charge extra for urathane bushings, but the design, at least for my Spridget, is clunky, mushy, binding, fragile garbage. My heim-joint and nylon-bushed bar from Winners's Circle is so much tighter and better designed and made than either the ADDCO bar I had on there or the ones pictured in their new catalog that it is amazing. The price is about the same. I would call and find out what fittings Seven uses on these bars. If they're heim-style ball-end joints, there is no contest. phile@pwcs.stpaul.gov -- Login name: phile In real life: Philip J Ethier Phone: 298-5324
