> I'm all for a New England SOL gathering, too... Spring's coming!
> How about April?

Another event in April, even in New England, is the Cape Codders Courageous
(#40), Saturday April 7, 1990.

Billed as 'the oldest annual TSD road rallye in America', the rallye is
open to all. An all-day rallye of about 140 miles, the atmosphere is
generally relaxed. The rallye is straight-forward (no traps), speeds are
moderate.

Prizes are to be awarded in the NER/SCCA rallye classes
(a = equipped, b= 1/100ths odo or 1/10 odo with slide rule, c= taped over
odo, and unlimited equipment (any applied accelerometer folks out there ?)),
novice, and vintage (cars predating 1960))

Also saturday will be an 'old-timers' map based rallye (at the same
time as TSD rallye).

Sunday usually includes a kite-flying contest, and if the Solo II
folks pull through, there may also be an NER Solo II event on Sunday.

Cost is $17 for SCCA or TCNE members, $22 for others. ($3 discount
for entries prior to 24 march)

The headquarters is at the 'town crier motel' in eastham, though
I'll be at the 'eastham ocean view'.

In the past years there has been no penality for children (under 12
or something like that) as passengers, though this is not mentioned on the
present flyer.

(gee can you imagine two people walking up and registering
with the club 'team dot net' (oops that's the other list)
can you imagine three, I mean three walking up and registering
as the club 'SOL'
can you imagine fifty people, I mean fifty people walking up to
registration, and registring brittish cars, from the SOL club, and
walking away.... they won't know what happend to 'em...

just a thought. I'd even go for rich's rallye, but maybe I ought
to get sand ladders, a winch, a sand anchor and some skid plates on the
rover first, eh rich ? (just kidding folks!) well, at least stone gaurds for the
turn signal lamps...

I just talked to Vicki Schlierer of Empire Motor Sports Club
(and the proud owner of a 77 Spit) and she said "If ya'll come out,
we'll give a troophy to the best placing British Car". So you all had
better plan on moseying on out there to Rich's Rallye and registering
as a member of the SOL. Let her know and she'll tell you all sorts of awful
stories about me. Some even Rich doesn't know.....
