For the curious, Nielsen ratings for TNG, week ending 2/18 (show would be A MATTER OF PERSPECTIVE, the Rashomon-wannabe) was 10.8 (down from the 11.3 for DEJA Q), for 237 stations, covering 98% of the country. This was good enough for third place for all syndicated programming, behind Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy (the latter was 13.6, 220 stations for 98% coverage) and ahead of Oprah! (10.1, 214 stations, 99% coverage). For a rough thumbnail comparison, a 10.8 would place TNG in 57th place or so on the prime time schedule, right behind ALF and CHina Beach (at 10.9) and ahead of JUST THE TEN OF US, DOCTOR, DOCTOR and LIFE GOES ON.
