                     "A Great Place To Meet Great People"

Location - Donaldson Brown Continuing Education Center on the campus of
           Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech)
           in Blacksburg, Virginia.  Blacksburg is 40 minutes southwest of
           Roanoke and is the home port of the U.S.S. John B. McKay,
           the Virginia Tech chapter of Starfleet.

When - Friday March 30th, Saturday March 31st, and Sunday March 32nd...
       (whoops) and Sunday April 1st.  The convention opens 2 P.M. on Friday,
       and the fun lasts until 4 P.M. on Sunday.

Guests - Real Musgrave, Award-winning artist of the Pocket Dragons and the 
                        Wizard Teddies.
         Don Sakers, Author and anthologist (Leaves of October), editor of
                     "Carmen Miranda's Ghost is Haunting Space Station Three".

Special events - Sixth Annual Sci-Fi Jeopardy! Tournament.  Annual Starfleet 
                 BATRON 11 (Region 1/Battle Squadron 1) conference.  Workshops
                 on Lojban, the logical language.  Star Trek - The Next
                 Generation on the BIG screen.  Saturday night dance.

Auction & Art Show - Matted 2D, 3D art welcome.  Ten percent commission 
                     retained on sold artwork.  No hanging fee.

Live Action Role Playing - "Technically Dead", A SF Murder Mystery.

                      to be announced at the door.

Each Technicon Seven comes with 50 percent RDA of 15 vitamins and nutrients. 
100 percent of Sci-Fi RDA of panels, costume contest, gaming, con suite and
computer events.

Driving directions - Interstate 81 (Virginia) to Exit 37.  Route 460/11 to
                     Christiansburg.  Follow signs for Virginia Tech.  Follow
                     460 to 460 Business/Main Street in Blacksburg.  Turn left
                     on College Avenue in downtown Blacksburg.  Donaldson Brown
                     is down College Ave on the left, you (probably) can't miss
                     it.  Unless it falls in a black hole again.

Administrivia - I've rethought my position and decided that only conventions
	which specifically advertise some kind of Star Trek event as a
	part of the activities are acceptable (this article *barely*
	qualifies).  This is to prevent the flood of announcements for
	conventions that throw in "science fiction" as an afterthought - ed.
