A little late, but from BROADCASTING, October 22, 1990: Nielsen ratings for the week ending October 7 show that ST:TNG's showing of BEST OF BOTH WORLDS, Part II, received a rating of 12.3 (where 1 point = 990,000 households) for 234 stations. This, I believe, is the second highest rating ever for TNG and the highest for a non-sweeps period. This placed TNG second among all syndicated series, trailing only WHEEL OF FORTUNE (at 13.0) and leading JEOPARDY (at 11.6). If TNG had gotten the same number of households during primetime, it would have placed 45th, just behind MURDER SHE WROTE (at 12.6) and ahead of such notables as thirtysomething (10.9). -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Edited by Jim "The Big Dweeb" Griffith - the official scapegoat for r.a.s.i.
