George Takei was a guest on the morning show on WPLJ here in NY this morning, and did state for the record that Star Trek VI is currently scheduled to begin filming next March. Nick Meyers will be directing (which he did in STII-TWOK), as well as writing (which he did in STIV-TVH). George didn't mention whether the writing was going to be a solo or group effort. George also said that he knows nothing at all about what STVI will be about (and seemed to imply that neither did anyone else). Personally, I'm not even sure that anything is yet written, what with filming not scheduled until next March. They are in fact trying to get it out in time to use it as part of the 25th anniversary, but there was no explicit mention of a deadline for release that they were working under.
