I went to a Star Trek convention last weekend, believe me, it was the last one too. It was a Creation convention, which I've heard aren't that good. I wasn't happy that I paid money to be let into a room with all these people hawking their wares, trying to get me to spend more money. Some of the presentations were ok, seeing some previews and hearing about upcoming TNG episodes was worth it, but I won't be going to another one too soon. The following bit of information was quite interesting though: They are negotiating with Michael Dorn to play Worf's real father in Star Trek VI. That should be really interesting. Otherwise, there really wasn't much new information on the movie. James Doohan just told us that they were playing the old game, where the actors hold out and wait for the right offer from Paramount, etc. I think I read (was it here?) that ILM will be doing the FX this time...
