After just reading the latest on STVI in r.a.s.i, I recalled reading the following from the _Hailing Frequencies Open_ portion of Issue #17 of ST:TOS comic book (reprinted without permission): "It's official. In mid-November Nicholas Meyer announced on CNN and in Variety that he was not only writing STVI but he was going to direct it as well." [stuff deleted] "Intriguing is the fact that he says the story will have Spock fall in love. Other than that, he's keeping mum on details and the rumor mill has been working overtime. As I hear it, every member of the crew dies or leaves the service or something. Only time will tell on this one. They are currently in pre-production and will begin filming in April for a Holiday 1991 release. Peter David and Gordon Purcell have already signed up for the adaptation, so stay tuned for details" Note that this conflicts with the latest news in r.a.s.i.....about nobody being killed off and Sulu getting command. By the way, do you think with Worf's father involved, the Enterprise-A may be involved in the Kitimer (sp?) massacre or the aftermath? Just my $0.02 worth. [Note - sounds like they've been reading the Star - ed.] =============================================================================== Jim Graffam | "Fortune...it favors the bold, Titan Applications | small children, and ships named Enterprise" c/o Raytheon-Sudbury | Riker _The Contagion_ =============================================================================== -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Edited by Jim "The Big Dweeb" Griffith - the official scapegoat for r.a.s.i.
