Just came back from the San Francisco Creation convention, and have some interesting news to report: Upcoming TNG tidbits: Not much information to report here. They only showed slides for Night Terrors, Qpid, Identity Crisis, and Drumhead. You can get a description of the each episode from various sources on the net. Q-pid looks like it MIGHT be a very good episode (actually, funny might be more like it). Apparently, Q meddles with Picard's life again, and transports him and the rest of the Enterprise crew to some planet and casts Picard as....Robin Hood, with the rest of the crew portraying the Merry Men. They showed a slide which showed the cast in their Robin Hood costumes, and the audience started laughing away! Geordi was a minstrel, Data (I believe) was Friar Tuck, and the remaining crew members played the Merry Men. Vash is Maid Marrione (sp?). Q, I think, was the Sheriff of Notingham (sp?). The one piece of information that really hit home for Night Terrors was this: apparently, Beverly and Riker DO IT (ie. have sexual relations) in this episode. Riker is not himself (some alien takes over him), and Beverly's state of mind (whether she too was taken over by an alien) was not mentioned. Now that I think of it, I'm not sure of this tidbit (I don't have that good of a short term memory), but I'm 95% confident that it is correct. Identity Crisis is of course a Geordi story. Apparently, five people that Geordi used to serve with are acting strangely. Geordi will, in time, start acting strangely as well. They showed a picture of Geordi (or what Geordi becomes: the slide showed a picture of a transformed Geordi with big blue veins running all over his face and chest. Really a WEIRD slide!) that was shocking. Drumhead sounds boring as some people have described it to be. Apparently, this episode is like LA Law meeting the Next Generation. Misc. Info.: OK, I asked a question about the possibility of a "Mirror Mirror: The Next Generation", and Eric Stillwell said that there wouldn't be. He also made mention of a script that was sent in by (I think) Jerome Bixby titled "Broken Mirror." Apparently, they looked over the script, and I don't know if they didn't like the episode, but he said that the epi- sode would cost a lot of money to make, so they're not gonna do it. He indirectly stated that "Yesterday's Enterprise" was the "Mirror Mirror" for the Next Generation. Marina Sirtis was the spokesperson at the convention, and boy, is she still as spunky as ever! Anyway, there was a real BIG turnout for her in the convention room (maximum capacity of the room was 800 people). The room was jam packed. In the episode The Loss, there was a scene showing Riker and Troi kissing. Of course, it was cut from the original. Apparently, the top episode for this season (and the other seasons as well) was....Devil's Due, with a 14.4 rating (much to the chagrin of certain net readers! :^) ). The Loss (more chagrins?) and Best of Both Worlds II tied for the second highest episodes in the fourth season. Well, that's the interesting stuff. Stillwell wouldn't say anything about Redemption, the season finale cliffhanger. Patrick Stewart is directing, and Stillwell said that there wouldn't be any women in the show (now, whether he's joking or not, I'm not sure. In any case, it shoots down the idea of Denise Crosby showing up?). Got to go. Hope the information proved to be useful...
