Because of a disk crash at Ames, Jim Griffith has a temporary newsfeed non-feed.
E-mail is still operational, but no news to or from him until Ames is repaired.

Your patience and understanding is appreciated.

This article is in response to trends and habits I've run into in the past
year.

I get a lot of articles submitted which basically say "I'm looking for this
information", "where can I find this?", or something similar. Inquiries of
any kind are *not* news or information, and as such, they are not acceptable.
Please do not submit them as articles.

If you have a particular question you want to ask me, mail it to
trek-info-request@dweeb.fx.com if it relates to r.a.s.i. Mail it to
griffith@dweeb.fx.com if it doesn't. If you have questions about or
additions to regular postings such as the Guide, the episode credits, the
stations list, the list of lists, the FAQL, etc., do NOT post them to
r.a.s.i. and do NOT send them to me. Mail them to to the person who maintains
that particular list. I only maintain the list of conventions. I tend to
get rather rude when people send me mail saying "add this to the list" - I
won't do it, since I probably don't maintain that list. I'll just refer
you back to the article.

Finally, do NOT send me mail saying "please add me to your mailing list".
r.a.s.i. is NOT a mailing list. It is a USENET newsgroup. If you don't
understand the distinction, you should get someone at your site to explain
USENET to you. I do not make r.a.s.i. articles available via email.

Grumble, grumble.
