Oooookay, hopefully this message will not be too trashed by the sick node I'm
   getting stuck with these days....

This is news ahead of time, subject to possible change or delay, but it's
good news: First of all, it's official -- GNP/Crescendo will be
releasing a second TNG disc, and it's the music (as surmised) from, "Best
Of Both Worlds" parts one and two (the third disc, if and when it happens,
may be more general than the first two; it's blue-skied right now.)
Availability: June 7th/8th 1991. They're aiming to coincide with the 25th
   anniversary bash.

The disc will be annotated as usual, with every attempt to make this the
   best package they've done yet.

By mail the price is $12.95 + $3 postage for the CD, $8.95 + postage for
   cassette. However....

ALSO coming from GNP/Crescendo on the same date:

STAR TREK - "Original Soundtracks from "The Doomsday Machine" and "Amok
Time". This is a single disc set of original Trek music by Sol Kaplan
and Jerome Freed. They turned up the two-track first-generation masters and
basically fine-tuned them for CD release. I'm told that every available
means was used to produce a terrific disc and that the results blow the album
from "The Cage"/"The Menagerie" into the abyss.

This will also be available for $12.95 +#$ $3 postage, $8.95 cassette. CA
   residents include 7% state tax.

   BUT WAIT ... there's more....!

GNP/Crescendo is also attempting to get the rights to the ST6 soundtrack
album. I hope they do -- they do good stuff.

Plans for the future include the long-awaited MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE album,
not to mention reissues of their jazz line and another Neil Norman
   album.

By the way, they're always open to suggestions as to what they should look
   into acquiring for release.

The address is GNP/Crescendo Record Co., 8400 Sunset Blvd., Hollywood,
   CA 90069.

And, yes, they know about Peter David's VENDETTA (which makes a connection
between the Borg and the Doomsday Machine.) Mind you, they didn't know until
I happened to mention it to them.... <g> >>>>>>SteveB

Well, I know I'm gonna order them! :-)
