[comp.sys.amiga.hardware] Should I trust a Xetec in the soft white underbelly of my Amiga?

jsmith@alias.UUCP (Jeff Smith) (02/12/90)

Episode Two finds our faithful hero breathing heavily after narrowly avoiding
digital death at the hands of the GVP Impact SCSI Controller (not that it was
a BAD product, just NOT what I need).

After quickly surveying the survivors of the last battle, he locks eyes with
a particularly dangerous looking foe: the non-DMA Xetec FastCard. (The audience
gasps.) His interrupt guns glinting in the noon-day sun, Xetec advances on
our hero.

Do you know this beast? [Flash picture of the Xetec FastCard.] He may be
living right in your very own Amiga. He is armed and potentially dangerous.
[Flash evil looking picture of interrupt guns glinting in the noon-day sun.]
Recent reports in secret government publications (like Amiga-World) claim
that he is the savior. Theoretical experts advise to the contrary.

You could be the most important person on Earth, right now. You may hold
the key to the true nature of this perplexing villain. You COULD call 911
with any tidbit of information, but they'd have no idea what you were talking
about. So, if you wish to be a true hero of the people, reply to this broadcast
in the only way that makes sense - e-mail. Let us know if you have any
experience with this card. Particularly in conjunction with an 80Meg Seagate
drive.

We now return you to our program.

The desparado and the C-man face each other over the hard baked earth. A squint
of curiosity playing over both faces, fingers trembling over their holsters.
How can you stand the intensity? Tune in next week to see what happens.
