Well, what's the potential for replacing the existing 800K drives with PS/2 compatabile 1.44MB drives on future Amigas? As I understand it, these drives (like the AT 1.2MB drives) physically operate at one of two different speeds; 300RPM and 360RPM. With the Amiga's space-efficient formatting, we should be able to get 1.6MB of storage on these drives. Wouldn't this also require changes to the data separator on Denise & some extra control speed select logic? The 1.44 MB drives are the new standard, and not that much costlier than the 800K drives; these are getting harder and harder to find. -djh
