[comp.sys.amiga.hardware] Help!,zapped mouse port 2

wn0e+@andrew.cmu.edu (William Nichols) (03/09/90)

This is a A1000 (circa Oct. '85), a static shock ran along the joystick
cable to the joystick/moust port, and zapped it senseless. So two
questions:

1) Is there a reasonable reparir place to take it that is not too far
from, say the PA Turnpike?

2) Which chip was blown? manufacture chip type/Commodore numbering
code. Would it be difficult to replace for someone who knows
which end of the soldering iron to hold?

Thanks for any help.

Commodore West Chester is three miles South of the PA Turnpike. That's in
South-East Pennsylvania, but then you don't mind that, do you? :-)
