I was hoping to avoid bothering the net about this but the CBM tech support line didn't know the answer. I know this has been discussed before but since I didn't have the problem then I didn't pay attention. My 1084 monitor just died, actually it was murdered, while I was trying to fix the arcing problem by grounding the heat sink. I am not sure what happened but it is a goner. Instead of getting it fixed I am going to buy a multisync since I will need it for the ECS eventually anyhow. What would be a good relatively inexpensive monitor to get? I am not sure I can go as high as $700 but will if I have to. It will need to be compatible with the ECS of course. Rick Hunt rhunt@med.unc.edu
