[] Well i finally got my 2091 today, over two months wait for it to be shipped. I got it all hooked up, even screwed the top back on, and NOTHING! Looks like the power supply is dead :( I know just enough electronics to be dangerous. I checked one of the power leads that is supposed to be hooked up to the new hardrive. On the 5V side i get almost up to 5V in about a second and then it goes dead. On the 12V side it barely makes it up to 1V and less than a second dies... The question is how can i be sure it's the power supply? If it is, does the whole thing have to be replaced? I'm at a large university with lots of resources (both people and equipment), are these things fixable? Is the a 3rd party company that sells plug and go power supplies? I would rather not do a bunch of splicing, but if it'll save me lots of money... Thanks for any help. And yes, the first thing i did was take out the card, and unplug the drive. ...alan ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- internet: commike@cs.buffalo.edu | Just got a new toy, bitnet: commike%cs.buffalo.edu@ubvm.bitnet | and it don't work :( uucp: ..!{watmath,boulder,decvax,rutgers}!cs.buffalo.edu!commike Real-Life: Alan Commike - SUNY @ Buffalo, Buffalo NY Q: How many computer scientists does it take to change a light bulb?
