I have seen numerous ads for accelerators for the 500, ranging from 68020 with 68881's to putting a 14Mhz 68000 in. This is not really what I want to do. I want to put a 68030 with a 68882 into my 500. I know many of you may say, "Why not go to a 2000?" My response to that is a cash flow problem. I can get ahold of the 68030 and 68882 chips at 25(?)Mhz for real cheap, and I want to put it into my current system. Can I get ahold of an unpopulated board to drop into this computer? If so, how much and WHERE??? Also, I am concerned with potential problems with this. Will I NEED to buy 32-bit ram or can I still use my original memory? Will this be a devestating drain on my power supply? How about compatibility? I have seen on the hurricane boards that you can switch between a 68020 & 68000. Would this be available on a potential board? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated on this matter. And, if this board that I am looking for does not exist, does anyone have docs on making your own?
